The combat gameplay is like most turn-based RPG games with your characters and the enemies taking turns throughout the battle. In Atelier Resleriana, your characters have three different skills based on their roles with different effects that can change the tide of battle when used properly.
However, turn-based combat is a slog and only gets worse as the difficulty spikes. Resource gathering is an on-rails section with no degree of roaming or exploration and can get boring and repetitive very quickly.
