Story
Fire Emblem Engage is a vibrant and "engaging" (hehe) game, with bright, colourful graphics and a gorgeous anime art style. The characters interesting, but the cast is so big that by the end of the game, you will forget many of them.. Unlike the imo stronger Three Houses, Engage follows a single, linear route, which limits replayability. Outside of playing at harder difficulties, there is much less reason to pick it up again - in contrast to Three Houses where the multiple routes made it much more replayable.
The biggest weakness is story—Three Houses had a complex, mature, politically driven narrative, whereas Engage is much more simplistic, and lacks depth. That said, the gameplay mechanics were fun, and the maps more varied.
